Before enrolling in this course you should have your Utah Learner’s Permit. One of the first assignments in the course is to submit this information. Everything is entered by this number into the Driver Licence Division database. You will also need a permit for 6 months before getting your license so getting one now starts that clock.

  • No. This course is self-paced. There are no class meeting times.
  • Most students can finish in 2-4 weeks. (approximately 30 hours)
  • Following this theory class, there are in-person requirements for observation and driving. These can be completed at your local high school or with a private company.

Students have 1 traditional school quarter in which to finish the course. The course is self-paced and may be accessed any day at any time.

  • The Weber Online theory course includes 30 hours of instruction and complies with the current Utah State Office of Education's regulations. It is similar to the courses offered at each of the Weber School District high schools.
  • Students who are self-motivated and who learn well independently through reading and video are the most successful in this course. If you have failed previous online courses, it is not suggested that you enroll in this course.
  • A certificate of completion will be sent to you upon passing the proctored final.
